Display Brightness Windows 10

Post by Hipsie »

Hi there! I've been struggling to find a driver for adjusting the display brightness on my Windows 10 laptop. I've tried searching on the manufacturer's website, but couldn't locate any relevant downloads. I also attempted to update the driver through the Device Manager, but no luck there either. Could someone please provide me with a direct link to the driver I need, or guide me through an alternative method of obtaining it? Thanks in advance!

- Output: Adjusted display brightness

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:

1. Question: Why is the display brightness not changing on my device?
Answer: Firstly, ensure that you have the latest display driver installed. Additionally, check if any power-saving settings or adaptive brightness options are affecting the brightness control. Finally, try restarting your device, as it may help in resolving any temporary software glitches.

2. Question: The display brightness is too dim even at maximum settings. What can I do?
Answer: Begin by checking if there is any physical obstruction on the display like a protective film or a cover. Remove it if present. Next, verify that the ambient light sensor is not covered or blocked, as it adjusts brightness based on environmental lighting conditions. If the issue persists, consider updating your graphics driver as outdated drivers can sometimes cause dimness.

3. Question: Why does the display brightness keep automatically changing by itself?
Answer: If your device has adaptive brightness enabled, it adjusts the display brightness based on the ambient lighting conditions. To disable this feature, go to Settings > System > Display > Change brightness automatically when lighting changes, and turn it off. Additionally, ensure that no third-party software or application is interfering with the brightness settings, and consider updating or uninstalling them if necessary.
