Asus X540S Touchpad Driver Windows 7 32 Bit

Post by Billy1986 » Sat Apr 24, 2021 7:56 am

I recently downgraded my Asus X540S laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 7 (32-bit) due to some compatibility issues. However, I am unable to find a compatible touchpad driver for this operating system. I have searched extensively on the Asus support website, but the only available drivers are for Windows 10. I have also checked other driver websites and forums, but to no avail. Can someone please provide me with a reliable download link for the touchpad driver that will work with Windows 7 (32-bit)? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

A: There could be multiple reasons for a non-responsive touchpad. First, ensure that the touchpad is not accidentally disabled by pressing the corresponding hotkey on your keyboard. If that doesn't work, try updating or reinstalling the touchpad driver from the official Asus website.

2. Q: How can I adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad on my Asus X540S?
A: To adjust the touchpad sensitivity, go to the "Control Panel" and click on "Hardware and Sound." Then, under the "Devices and Printers" section, you should find "Mouse." Click on it and navigate to the "Touchpad" tab. Here, you can adjust the touchpad sensitivity to your preference.

3. Q: My Asus X540S touchpad cursor is jumping erratically. What should I do?
A: If the touchpad cursor jumps randomly or behaves erratically, try disabling the touchpad gesture features. Go to the "Control Panel," click on "Hardware and Sound," then "Mouse," and finally "Touchpad." Look for any option related to gestures and uncheck them. If the issue persists, consider updating the touchpad driver or seek assistance from Asus customer support.
