Post by Danny1992 » Thu May 13, 2021 3:19 am

I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and now I am unable to connect my Xiaomi device via USB. I believe the issue lies with the Mtp Usb Device driver. I have searched extensively on Xiaomi's official website, as well as on various driver download websites, but I have been unable to locate a driver specifically for Windows 10. Could someone please provide me with a direct download link or any other suggestions on how to resolve this issue? Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:
1. Q: Why is my Xiaomi device not being recognized by Windows 10 after installing the MTP USB device driver?
A: There could be several reasons for this issue. Firstly, ensure that the USB cable is properly connected and functioning. Try using a different USB port or cable to rule out any hardware problems. Additionally, make sure that you have installed the latest version of the Xiaomi MTP USB device driver. If the problem persists, restart both your Xiaomi device and the computer, as this can resolve temporary glitches.

2. Q: I have installed the Xiaomi MTP USB device driver, but my Windows 10 computer is not detecting my Xiaomi device for file transfer. What should I do?
A: To resolve this problem, ensure that your Xiaomi device is unlocked and on the appropriate screen (e.g., home screen, file transfer mode) while connecting it to the computer. Some Xiaomi devices may require you to manually change the connection type to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) or File Transfer mode. Check your Xiaomi device's settings or notification panel for any USB connection options and select MTP/File Transfer. If the issue persists, try using a different USB cable or port to isolate any potential hardware problems.

3. Q: I have successfully connected my Xiaomi device to my Windows 10 computer using the MTP USB device driver, but I cannot access or view the device's files and folders. How can I fix this?
A: This issue can occur due to a few reasons. Firstly, make sure that your Xiaomi device's screen is unlocked and not in sleep mode while accessing its files from the computer. Additionally, check if the USB cable is firmly connected and functioning properly. Sometimes, changing the USB connection type to MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) or File Transfer mode on your Xiaomi device can resolve this problem. If none of these solutions work, check if the device has any pending system updates, as updating the Xiaomi device's software may resolve compatibility issues with the driver.
