I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and found that my Microsoft Optical Mouse is not working properly. I suspect that I need to update the driver for it to function correctly. I have searched extensively online, including the Microsoft website, but I cannot find a driver specifically for Windows 10. Could someone please provide a direct link to download the updated driver for Microsoft Optical Mouse that is compatible with Windows 10? Thank you in advance for your help!

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:

1. Q: Why is my optical mouse not working properly?
A: There could be several reasons for this issue. Firstly, ensure that the mouse is connected to the computer securely. Check the USB port for any damage or debris. If the mouse is wireless, confirm that the batteries are not depleted. Also, try cleaning the optical sensor on the bottom of the mouse using a lint-free cloth.

2. Q: My optical mouse cursor is moving erratically on the screen. What can I do?
A: In such cases, it is advisable to check the surface on which you are using the mouse. Optical mice can behave unpredictably on reflective, glossy, or uneven surfaces. Place a mouse pad or use the mouse on a non-reflective, flat, and even surface to improve its tracking accuracy.

3. Q: The buttons on my optical mouse are unresponsive. How do I troubleshoot this?
A: If the mouse buttons are not functioning as expected, start by ensuring that there are no hardware issues. Try using the mouse on another computer to determine if the problem is specific to your current system. If the problem persists, you may need to update the mouse driver or reinstall it. You can download the latest driver from Microsoft's official website and follow the provided instructions for installation.
