Windows 10 Nvidia Driver Black Screen

Post by Timmy1987 »

Hi everyone, I recently upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and encountered a black screen issue after installing Nvidia driver. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver multiple times, but the problem persists. I've also searched on the official Nvidia website, but I couldn't find a driver specifically for Windows 10. Could anyone provide me with a direct link to a compatible Nvidia driver for Windows 10? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:
1. Question: Why is my screen going black after installing the Nvidia driver?
Answer: This issue could be caused by an incompatible or outdated Nvidia driver. Try updating the driver to the latest version from the Nvidia website or rolling back to a previous version that worked.

2. Question: My screen is still black even after updating the Nvidia driver. What else can I do?
Answer: If updating the driver didn't resolve the issue, it could be due to conflicts with other software or settings. Try disabling any third-party software that may interfere with the graphics card, performing a clean installation of the Nvidia driver, or adjusting the display settings in Windows.

3. Question: I have followed the troubleshooting steps and my screen is still black. What should I do next?
Answer: If the problem persists, it's recommended to check the hardware components. Ensure that the graphics card is correctly seated in the motherboard and that all necessary power connectors are securely plugged in. If possible, try the graphics card on another computer to rule out any potential hardware failures. It may also be helpful to seek assistance from a professional technician or contact Nvidia support for further guidance.
