Microsoft Basic Display Driver

Post by Freda95 »

I recently installed a new operating system and now my display is not working properly. I suspect that I need to update my driver, but I am unable to find a download link for the Microsoft Basic Display Driver. I have searched on the manufacturer's website as well as various driver update websites, but none of them seem to have this specific driver available for download. Could someone please provide me with a direct link to download the Microsoft Basic Display Driver? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Resolution: up to 1920 x 1080
Refresh Rate: up to 60Hz
Interface: HDMI, VGA, DVI-D

Troubleshooting Questions:
Q1: Why is my screen resolution not reaching the maximum supported resolution?
A1: Firstly, ensure that the display driver is up to date. If that doesn't solve the issue, check if the connected cable supports the desired resolution. Moreover, verify if the display device you are using is capable of supporting the specified resolution.

Q2: Why is there no display output from the device?
A2: Initially, confirm that all cables are properly connected. Next, try connecting the device to a different display or monitor to check if the issue lies with the device or the display. Additionally, restarting the device may help resolve this problem.

Q3: Why is my screen flickering or showing artifacts?
A3: Firstly, verify that the display cable is securely connected at both ends. If the issue persists, it might be caused by incompatible or outdated display drivers. Try updating the display driver to the latest version from the manufacturer's website. Adjusting the display refresh rate settings could also help eliminate screen flickering.
