Macbook Pro Audio Driver Download

Post by Libby92 »

Hi everyone,

I recently installed Windows 10 on my Macbook Pro and everything seems to be working fine except for the audio. I'm unable to get any sound from my speakers or headphones. I suspect that I need to update my audio driver, but I'm unable to find a reliable source to download it from.

I've searched extensively on the official Apple website, but all I could find were updates for Mac OS. I also tried searching on various driver websites, but most of them seemed sketchy and I didn't want to risk downloading a potentially harmful driver.

Could someone please provide me with a trustworthy link to download the audio driver for Macbook Pro on Windows 10? I would really appreciate any help. Thank you in advance!

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:

1. Q: Why is my Macbook Pro not recognizing the audio driver?
A: There could be several reasons for this issue. First, ensure that you have downloaded and installed the correct audio driver for your Macbook Pro model. If the driver is installed but not recognized, try restarting your Macbook Pro and checking the audio settings in the System Preferences. If the issue persists, it may be worthwhile to reset the NVRAM or SMC on your Macbook Pro, as these can sometimes cause driver recognition issues.

2. Q: After installing the audio driver, why is there no sound coming from my Macbook Pro?
A: If you are experiencing this issue, start by checking the volume settings on your Macbook Pro. Ensure that the volume is not muted and is turned up to an audible level. Additionally, check if any external audio devices are connected to your Macbook Pro and verify that they are functioning properly. If there are no external devices and the volume is not muted, try restarting your Macbook Pro and checking if the issue persists. If the problem continues, it may be helpful to reset the audio preferences or reinstall the audio driver.

3. Q: Can I roll back to a previous audio driver version on my Macbook Pro?
A: Macbook Pro typically installs the latest audio driver version provided by Apple. Unfortunately, there is no official method to roll back to a previous driver version through regular system settings. However, if you are experiencing issues with the current audio driver, you may consider contacting Apple Support for further assistance, as they might have troubleshooting steps or suggestions that could resolve your problem. As a last resort, you could also consider a clean reinstall of macOS, but this should only be done after consulting with Apple Support or a professional.
