Elan Touchpad Driver Windows 7 Lenovo Ideapad 320

Post by Tabby1995 »

I recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad 320 running on Windows 7, and I'm having trouble finding the Elan touchpad driver. I've searched extensively on the Lenovo support website, as well as various other driver websites, but I haven't had any luck so far. Could someone please provide me with a direct download link for the Elan touchpad driver compatible with Windows 7 on my Lenovo Ideapad 320? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Troubleshooting Questions and Answers:

1) Problem: The touchpad on my Lenovo Ideapad 320 is not functioning correctly. What can I do to fix it?
Answer: Firstly, make sure the Elan Touchpad Driver is installed and up to date. You can download the latest driver from the official Lenovo website. If the driver is already installed, try restarting your laptop and check if the touchpad is working properly. If not, go to the Device Manager, locate the touchpad under "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click on it, and select "Uninstall." Then, restart your laptop to allow Windows to reinstall the driver automatically, which may resolve the issue.

2) Problem: The touchpad gestures are not working as expected on my Lenovo Ideapad 320. How can I enable them?
Answer: Firstly, ensure that the Elan Touchpad Driver is installed on your Windows 7 Lenovo Ideapad 320. Open the Control Panel and search for "Mouse." From the Mouse Properties window, navigate to the "ELAN" or "Touchpad" tab. Here, you should find an option to enable touchpad gestures. Make sure this option is checked or enabled. If the option is grayed out, it could indicate a compatibility issue or a problem with the driver. Try reinstalling or updating the driver from the Lenovo support website.

3) Problem: The touchpad on my Windows 7 Lenovo Ideapad 320 is not responding at all. What should I do?
Answer: If your touchpad is completely unresponsive, ensure that it is not disabled. Many laptops have a physical button or shortcut key combination (Fn key + a specific F key) to enable or disable the touchpad. Press the appropriate key(s) to toggle the touchpad on or off. If this doesn't work, try connecting an external mouse to verify if it is specifically a touchpad issue. If the external mouse works fine, then the touchpad might be physically damaged or malfunctioning. In such cases, contacting Lenovo support or a certified technician would be recommended for further assistance or repair.
